I had a question regarding the Risdon /periangular approach. Unlike the submandibular incision, which is typically placed about 2 cm below the lower border of the mandible to account for variations in the course of the marginal mandibular nerve, is this branch less of a concern with the Risdon approach? It appears to be a relatively straightforward technique.
I would appreciate your thoughts on this.
